Anne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a Master’s of Guidance and Counselling from James Cook University Singapore. She is a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association.
Anne has substantial clinical experience across both public and private health sectors in Singapore and Australia. She has worked with various client groups ranging from teenagers to adults, with extensive experience in managing mental health issues and addressing career readiness for individuals with disabilities and co-morbidities. Anne has also worked as a career coach / vocational coach in both Singapore and Australia, having helped individuals get ready to join the workforce for the first time, professionals to make a career change into a completely different industry and helping parents as well as those affected by illness to re-join the workforce after a long break. As a working mom, she possesses strong understanding of the return to work journey for parents and balancing between work, home and parental responsibilities.
Being an expat herself, who has lived across 3 different continents, she has a strong multicultural awareness and a deep understanding of the adjustment process and its psychological impacts for all age groups. She is also highly familiar with cross-cultural relationships and family dynamics, having a multicultural family herself that juggles between 3 main cultural influences and languages on a daily basis.
With teenagers, Anne has interest in working with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, career guidance, low self-esteem, gender identity, anger management, loneliness, bullying, self harm, and trauma.
With adult individuals, Anne’s work focuses on stress and time management, managing ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, anger management concerns, substance dependency, anger management, job changes, adjustment to parenthood, adjustment to separation or divorce and other relationship changes, and dealing with grief and loss.
With couples, Anne works on addressing relationship / family / parenting concerns, improving conflict resolution and communication skills, improving Intimacy and connection in relationships, healing from infidelity and relationship termination.
Anne’s goal is to empower her clients to self-manage their mental health and to take control of their lives. Anne strongly believes that everyone has the ability to overcome their barriers to living a fulfilled and meaningful life.
