Couples therapy (often called relationship counselling or marriage counselling) is a type of psychotherapy that can help you and your partner improve your relationship. If you are having relationship difficulties, consider seeking professional counselling services such as couples therapy to learn how to manage conflicts, reconnect emotionally, address intimacy issues, gain a better understanding of each other, and eventually rebuild your relationship. It is helpful at any stage of your relationship, regardless of whether you are married or how long you have been together. Couples therapy can also be very helpful in preventing serious relationship issues from occurring if done as a preventative measure, as it strengthens your relationship through expert guidance.
Family Counselling
Family therapy is a form of talk therapy that involves any combination of family members, including single parent family and blended families, to improve their overall relationship. Family therapy aims to solve family problems, improve communication, and to create a better functioning home environment. It can be used for parents to gain a better understanding of their children’s behavioral issues and to improve their parenting skills, for teenagers to feel heard and understood by their parents as they go through puberty and life transitions, and for intergenerational differences between children, parents and grandparents. Foster harmony and communication within your family, facilitated by our adept therapists. Specialized parent coaching is also available.
At The Counselling Place, we also offer psychological assessments related to custody and access legal proceeding, and comprehensive psychological assessments for neurodiverse children / teenagers.
Online Counselling
We offer online counselling services through video call via Skype, which allows you to receive support from the comfort of your home or any other safe and private space. Just make sure you have a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera that can run Skype.

In-Person Counselling
The most common way counselling services are delivered is in-person. our counselling centre allows both psychologist, counsellor, or therapist and the client(s) to see one another’s non-verbal communication behaviours without being limited to a screen. At The Counselling Place, we provide in-person sessions in our confidential therapy rooms, located in the CBD area of Singapore.
