Sex Therapy - Sexuality & Intimacy Coaching

Sex therapy, also known as sex counselling, is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on addressing sexual health and wellness issues, as well as promoting healthy sexual functioning and relationships. It typically involves working with a trained therapist, such as a licensed / registered psychologist or sexologist, who has expertise in human sexuality and sexual health. Through sex therapy, individuals and couples can gain a better understanding of their sexual health, improve communication and intimacy, and develop healthy and fulfilling sexual relationships.

It's important to note that sex therapy is a talk-based therapy, and does not involve any physical or sexual contact. It's a safe and confidential space to discuss sexual concerns and work towards finding solutions.

Sex therapy can help individuals and couples address a wide range of issues, including:

  • Sexual orientation and gender identity concerns

  • Sexual functioning (e.g. premature/delayed ejaculation, erectile disfunction, low libido)

  • Sexual pain or discomfort (e.g. vaginismus)

  • Body image issues

  • Sexuality around ageing

  • Intimacy and chronic illness or disabilities

  • Relationship intimacy issues (including infidelity, open relationships, etc.)

  • Trauma and sexual abuse

This service is offered by our Relationship Counsellor / Clinical Sexologist Dr Martha Tara Lee, and Clinical Director / Registered Psychologist Ho Shee Wai.
